Irene Xenia Sawka Bohachevsky passed away on January 17, 2009 in Leesville. She was born in Vienna, Austria on March 11, 1922 to Johann and Viktoria Dudek Sawka. In April 1941, she married John A. Bohachevsky, when she was 19 years old,
and he remained her husband for 55 years. In 1949 they emigrated to the United States to start a new life. Irene is preceded in death by her husband John and is survived by her children Roman, Vladimir, Christine and their spouses. She is also
survived by 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was known and loved by her family as “Babi.” � Visitation/Parastas wil be from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2009 in the chapel of Resthaven/ Earthman, 13102 North
Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Mykola Dovzhuk at the Protection of the Mother of God Ukrainian Church, 9102 Meadowshire, Houston, Texas 77037, on Thursday January 22, 2009, at 10 a.m. Interment
at Resthaven will follow. A rosary will be recited at St. Michael Catholic Church in Leesville on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 6 p.m.
