Gethren Nichols

Funeral services for Mr. Gethren Nichols of Leander will be held on Friday, April 3, 2009 in Big Hammock Baptist Church in Leander at 10 a.m. with the Revs. B.G. Dyess and Webb Robinson officiating.
Burial will follow in
Mt. Moriah Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be from 5 till 9 p.m.. on Thursday at the church and then from
8 a.m. till service time Friday.
Mr. Nichols
89,passed away on Tuesday in Alexandria. He was a life long resident of the Leander area and was a World War II Veteran having served in the U.S. Army Air Corps.
He was a retired cross country truck driver having driven most of the
states. He was a Baptist and member of Big Hammock Baptist Church.
Survivors are his wife of 64 years, Ruby Hagan Nichols of Leander; two daughters and sons in law, Barbara Ann and Charles Richey of Hineston; Lisa Ann and dough Nowlin
of Pine Bluff, Ark.; three brothers, Grady Nichols of Leander, Oren Nichols of Houston, Orvin Nichols of Leesville; two grandchildren, Scottie and Jennifer and four great grandchildren, Sommer, Travis, Ryan and Dylan.
