SIEGLINDE SAENGER

Sieglinde Angelika (Hartweck) Saenger, 56, of Leesville, succumbed to cancer Tuesday evening, October
13, 2009, quietly at her home in Leesville. She was born June 21, 1952, near Neustadt an der WeinstraBe, Rhineland-Pfalz, the daughter of Josef and Hertha (Rust) Hartweck.
A resident of the Northwestern Louisiana area, she attended
Northwestern State University where she earned a Bachelor of Social Work degree in 2001 and was a registered social worker. She went on to complete two advanced degrees; a Master of Education, Educational Technology 2004 and a Master of Education,
Adult Education in 2007. She worked in social services, completing her Social Work Internship through the Office of Community Services in Mansfield, in 2001. She also worked as a volunteer with the Families in Need of Service in Natchitoches and as
an assistant house manager trainee at the June Jenkins Women’s Shelter of DeRidder in 1996. She is survived by her daughter, Nichole A. Lind of Longview, Texas; her companion J. William Fabian of Leesville, as well as her sister, Hannelore Helf and
two brothers Werner and Walter Hartweck , all of Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests observation of the Biblical passage Luke 6:31.
