Funeral services for Mark Self will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in the Good Hope Baptist Church, Anacoco with burial in Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation will start in the Church at noon Friday.
Mark, 38, passed away Oct. 27, 2009
in Anacoco.
A native of DeRidder, he worked in Iraq as a mechanic and all over the states as a boilermaker; he even worked in Jamaica.
Survivors are his son, Jonathan Self of Anacoco; his daughter, Emily Self of Anacoco;
his father, Max Self and wife, Wendy, of Anacoco; four brothers, Anthony, Richard, David, and Stephen Self, all of the Rosepine/DeRidder area and Chapin Hawkins of Abilene, Texas; his sisters, Yolanda Swindler of Elizabethtown, Ken., Brenda Martinez
of Anacoco, Rebekah Martin of Leesville, Elizabeth Behan of Florien and Sarah Poole of Rosepine; and his grandmother, Yowama Self of Anacoco.
His is preceded in death by his mother, Janice Self.
Pallbearers are Richard
Self, David Self, Stephen Self, Anthony Self, Mann Self, Jr., Roland Poole, Mark Martinez and James Hamblin.
