Randle Kelly Lindsey, 79, passed from this life on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at his residence in
Leesville. He was born to Lois Chunn Lindsey and James Lindsey of Pleasant Ridge, Miss.
Randle proudly served in the United States Army for 22 years as a medical specialist. After retiring, he worked in the E.R. at Fort Polk and also
at Kurthwood Manor in Leesville and Pinehaven Nursing Home in Rosepine.
Survivors include his son, Rodger Dale Lindsey of Leesville; daughter, Ethel Busby of Leesville; sisters, Dorothy Hall of Sedgewick, Kan., Edna Perkins of
Annapolis, Mass., June Gerdes of Tacoma, Wash., Barbara Baldwin of Oden, Ark. and Janice Benis of Bentley, Kan.; brothers, James Lindsey of Juno, Alaska, Kenneth Lindsey of Bentley, Kan., six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great
grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by wife Lorena Lindsey, sisters, Violet Shirley, Glenda Rhodes and brothers, Fred, Jerry and Dennis Lindsey.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 22, 2009 beginning at 2
p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday, November 23, 2009, 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon at Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 23, 2009 at noon at Hixson Funeral Home. Burial will
be at Cooper Cemetery under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville.
