Bernice Treadway Lord

Services for Bernice Treadway Lord will be today, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, with Bro. Rudolph Gordon officiating, assisted by Bro. Alton Middleton. Visitation was Monday Dec. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m. at the
funeral home. Mrs. Lord was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Provencal and died Sunday, Dec. 6, 2009 at Sabine Retirement Center in Many. She lived most of her life in Mansfield and devoted her life to serving her Lord, her husband, her family and her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bro. Ernest W. Lord; daughter, Evelyn Lord Behan; son, David Lord; parents, Walter and Alice Treadway; sisters, Lucille Bolton and Velma Wyatt; and brothers, Clifton Treadway and Loy Treadway.
Those left to cherish her memory include daughters, Elizabeth Coffey and husband Mike of Baton Rouge, Marleyne Jones and husband Kenneth of Sand Springs, Okla., Bonnie Lord Carbo and husband Mark of Alexandria, Kathy Dowden of
Anacoco; one son, Larry Lord and wife Diane of Shreveport; and son-in-law, Dale Behan and wife Linda of Fort Worth, Texas. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; one brother, Walter Treadway
Jr.; and special niece Gayle Polke.
The family would like to express their appreciation for the loving care she received from Dr. Jack Corley and the caring staff of Sabine Retirement Center.
