Funeral services for Kenneth (Ken) Marker, 51, of Leesville, will be held Sunday, December 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Grace Bible Church in Leesville with Bro. Sandy Guynn and Bro. Larry Davis officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, December
26, from 6 until 10 p.m. and Sunday, December 27, from 8 a.m. until 12 noon at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville and and from 1 p.m. until service time Sunday at the church. Burial will follow at the Leesville Cemetery.
Ken, a
native of Tiffin, Ohio, was a long-time resident of the Leesville/Vernon Parish area. He retired from the United States Army with the rank of first sergeant after 23 years of faithful service.
He was employed for a time by CUBIC
applications at Fort Polk and for the past 7 years, as a route salesman for Schwan’s, where he was affectionately known to all as “The Schwan’s Guy.”
He is survived by his wife, Pat Marker of Leesville; three sons, Bobby (BJ) Marker
of Hodge, Kyle Marker of Leesville and Joseph Jeane of Leesville; two stepsons, Brad Fields of Mokena, Ill. and Ted Fields of Bollingbrook, Ill.; one daughter, Mandy Chube of Fort Worth, Texas; one stepdaughter, Stephanie Allen of Leesville; his
mother, Gurtha Marker of Tiffin, Ohio; two brothers, Ronald Marker of Tiffin, Ohio and Gerald Marker of St. Robert, Mo.; one sister, Barbara Houck of Tiffin, Ohio, and 10 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harry
Marker.
