Funeral services for John Denzel Nash, Sr., 68, of Leesville, will be held Friday, January 22, 2010 at 11 a.m. in Labby Memorial Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Williams and Bro. Alvin Glaze officiating. Burial will follow in the Pisgah
Cemetery in Toro. Visitation will be Thursday, January 21, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
Mr. Nash, the son of Nepolian and Ollie Brown Nash
was born on December 6, 1941 in Evans. He passed away on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville. He loved fishing, western movies and cleaning the yard. He was formerly a Pentecostal preacher; he loved life to the fullest and
never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife Betty Nash of Leesville; son John D. Nash, Jr. of Leesville; daughters Barbara St. Amant of Leesville, Shelia (husband, Joey) Rodgers of Anacoco; brother Darrel Nash of Watertown,
Mass.; four half-brothers; two half sisters; and five grandchildren, Private John B. Jones of Biloxi, Miss., Shelby L. Jones of Leesville, Robert Rodgers of Anacoco, Joseph Rodgers of Anacoco and Sunny Rodgers of Anacoco.
