A celebration of life and homegoing services for Mother Ethel Runnels “Granny” Conerly, 97, will be at
11 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at Johnson Temple COGIC with Pastor Maurice Johnson officiating.
She was the first born of James Thomas “Tom” Runnels and Hannah Brown Runnels in Leesville on February 8, 1913. Preceding her in death were
parents, brother Hyter Edward Runnels; son, Thomas Edward Conerly; daughter, Jean Evelyn Conerly and husband, Willie “White” Conerly.
Survivors are a devoted daughter and son-in-law, Betty and Leroy Stokes of Leesville and two
granddaughters, Melissa Roychelle Stokes of Natchitoches and Marlana Michelle Stokes of Leesville who were her PRIDE and JOY.
Services are entrusted to Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville.
