Funeral services for Ethel L. Evans Pollard, 82, of Leesville, will be held Friday, May 14, 2010 at 10
a.m. at East Leesville Baptist Church with Rev. Gil Arthur officiating. Burial will follow in the Castor Cemetery in Leesville. Visitation will be Thursday, May 13 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home and Friday, May 14 from 9 a.m.
until service time at the church.
Ethel, the daughter of Fred Smith and Emma Luttrell Evans, was born December 4, 1927, in Leander. She passed away Monday, May 10, 2010, at Dubuis Hospital in Alexandria. She was a longtime member of
East Leesville Baptist Church. She loved cooking for people and was very well known for her-chicken and dumplings and hot rolls.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Ernest Pollard.
She is survived by
two daughters, Sharon Giles and husband, Mark of Bixby, Okla. and Veva Davis and husband, Dennis of Lake Charles; brother, O.C. and wife, Lois Evans of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Jason Marsalise and wife, Renee’, Dana Dow and husband Richard and
Ryan Wallace and wife Onusa; great grandchildren, Allison Benton, Jase Marsalise, Carson Marsalise, Davis Dow, Raegan Dow and Madeline Wallace.
