Gladys Dowden 59 of Gatesville, Texas formerly of Hornbeck, passed away June 6, 2010 in Temple, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday June 11, 2010 in the chapel of Heritage Rowe Funeral Home Leesville, with Rev.
Kenneth Baggs and Rev. Bill Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery Anacoco, under the direction of Heritage Rowe Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday June 10, 2010 from 5 until 9 p.m. at
Heritage Rowe Funeral Home.
She is preceded in death by her father, Waco Tarkington and sons, Samuel and Joseph Papin.
Survivors include her mother, Gerilden Tarkington of Gatesville, Texas; husband Edgar Dowden of Gatesville,
Texas; sons, Jonathan Papin and fiancé Victoria Lopez of Leesville; Joshua Papin of Anacoco; daughters, Katrina Smith and husband George of Anacoco; Sarah Hodges of Tucson, Arizona; sisters, Diane Brown of Gatesville, Texas and Francis Cummings of
Calif.; grandchildren, Nicholas Papin, Aubrey Papin, Bailey Smith, Alexander Papin, Brehannah Papin, Hailey Smith and Gaige Papin.
Mrs. Dowden was a homemaker throughout her life time. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
