Home-going services for Bro. Daily will be held Wednesday, Sept. 22,
2010 at 1 p.m. at Apostolic Faith Tabernacle. His body will lie in state at the church from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 21 and Wednesday, from 11 a.m. until time of service. The services will be presided over by Rev’s Ryan McNeely, C.R.
Bayham, Glenn Burgess, Tim Thompson, Billy Herrington and Paul Mettlen. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery in Anacoco, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Bro. Daily was born Nov. 25, 1940 in Ragley,
although he spent most of his formative years in Oakdale. His summers were spent riding horses in the woods around Ragley with his maternal grandfather. His love for horses remained until his death.
Bro. Daily joined the U.S. Army in
September 1958, completing basic training at Fort Chaffee, Ark. He was then assigned to White Sands Missile Range, N.M. where he met the love of his life, Pamela Yaryan. They were married on June 4, 1960. After his discharge, they moved back to
Louisiana and remained until 1968.
In Sept. of that year, Bro. Daily moved his young family, which now consisted of four children, to Lynnwood, Wash., to assist in establishing a brand-new Apostolic church. They remained there until
November 1980 when he felt called to evangelistic work. After holding a revival in Leesville, he assumed the pastorate of Apostolic Faith Tabernacle on May 15, 1981. He retired shortly before his death.
Through the years, Bro. Daily worked
as a department store assistant manager, pipefitter and welder. But more than all these, he enjoyed preaching, which he began to do in 1968. Throughout his 42 years of ministry, he is probably most proud of the young men he helped form and who went
on to become ministers of the gospel themselves.
Bro. Daily wrote numerous gospel songs through the years and blessed many people with them. Several of them will be used in his funeral service.
He will be truly missed by his
family, church family and the Anacoco/Leesville, community.
Pallbearers are Wade Daily, Tyson Clemens, Brandon Clemens, Chris Clemens, Randall Martin and Mitch Trahan.
Honorary Pallbearers are Safe Clemens, Tim Daily, Jeff
Daily, Richard Slaughter and James Day.
