Rev. Joseph V. Chance, 55, of Hemphill ,Texas, passed away suddenly on
Sunday, Sept. 26, 2010 at his residence. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2010 at 5 p.m. until the time of the service at Harmony Cove Baptist Church in Florien. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2010, officiated
by Bro. Wilton Anthony, assisted by Bro. C.V.Chance, Bro. Muriel Mitchell, and Bro. Irvy Barber. Interment will follow at Union Baptist Church Cemetery, Florien.
He was born on April 3, 1955 in Miami, Fla. to Bro. C.V. and Nelda Royal
Chance.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 31 years. Jonni Cook Chance; son: Aaron Chance and wife Kristy of Hemphill,Texas; daughter: Ashley Remedies and husband Tony Jack of Florien; father: Bro. C.V. Chance of Florien;
grandchildren: Samantha, Bridgette, and Malachi Chance of Hemphill, Texas; sisters: Collene Hilton and husband Dewayne of Anacoco, Pam Johnson and husband Gary of Montgomery, Sam Harlan and husband Joey of Frisco, Texas; brothers: Eddie Chance of
Austin,Texas, Bobby Chance and wife Brandy of Spring,Texas and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Preceding him in death were his mother Nelda Royal Chance and grandparents Truit Aaron and Myrtel Chance and James Albert and Melba
Royal.
Honoring him as pallbearers will be Kenny Muriel Mitchell, Stephen Martin, Jody Mitchell, Kyle Chatman, Stephen Chatman, Tony Remedies, Isaac Mitchell and Stuart Martin. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Harmony Cove Baptist
Church.
