Pamela Renee’ Hernandez

Pamela Renee’ Hernandez, 42, of DeRidder, passed away Thursday, October 7,
2010 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of DeRidder, Pam touched the lives of everyone she knew. She was a teacher and cheerleading coach at DeRidder High School where she was a beloved friend and mentor. She was a recent graduate
of Ashford University, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Student Government Association, and CASA. She was also an active participant for Walk for Life. Pam’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family and
friends, and her dog Xena.

Pam is survived by her parents, Sammy and Carolyn Goodeaux, of DeRidder; her brother Danny (Jennifer) Hernandez and nephew Jacob, of DeRidder; four step-brothers, Danny (Donna) Goodeaux, of West
Monroe, Greg (Jeannie) Goodeaux of Carlyss, Dennis (Lavon) Goodeaux, of Monroe, and Grant (Becky) Goodeaux, of Sugarland, Texas. She is also survived by many close friends and relatives who will forever mourn her passing. She was preceded in death by
her father, Bobby Hernandez, maternal grandparents Marvin and Edith Swearengin and paternal grandparents Robert and Katie Hernandez.

Visitation will be from 11 AM to 9 PM on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at Labby Memorial Funeral
Home in DeRidder. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 10, 2010 and officiated by Pastors Lynn Clayton, Joe Joslin and Lindsey Burns. Burial will follow in the Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, LA under
the direction Labby Memorial Home of DeRidder.
