Funeral services for Jerry Lee Anderson, 78, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday February 18, 2011 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Cary Baskin and Rev. Don Cook officiating. Graveside services
and interment will follow at Self Cemetery in Leesville at 3 p.m. Pallbearers will be Warren Robicheaux, Jim Ward, Jeff Holliman, Luke Tanner, Perry Tanner and Guy Wilhelm.
Jerry was born September 3, 1932 in Leesville, the son of D.H.
Anderson and Willie Mae Brown Anderson and passed away February 15, 2011 at Dogwood Trails Manor in Woodville, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, his infant son Jim Anderson and brother Jake Anderson.
Jerry was a Texas resident
at the time of his death but was a Vernon Parish resident for many years. Jerry graduated from Leesville High School in 1952 and Northwestern State College in 1955. He was employed in civil service and education for 30 years and was active in
community service as Lions Club member in Benton, and later as a Civitan in Leesville where he received awards for work with Special Olympics while employed at Leesville State School. Jerry was self-employed for years after leaving state employment.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Katheryn Simmons Anderson; son, K. Scot Anderson and wife Mia; daughter Jeri Tanner and husband Perry; brother Bill Anderson and wife Macel; grandchildren, Warren Robicheaux and wife Lora Beth, Will
Robicheaux and wife Yumi, Scot Robicheaux, Cara Anderson and Max Anderson..
