Funeral services for Joseph Daniel Crager, Jr., 91, of Lufkin Texas
formally of Anacoco, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2011 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with the Rev. Durhl R. Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday, February 20, 2011 and on Monday, February 21, 2011 from 8 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Joseph, the son of Joseph D.
Crager, Sr. and Lula Weeks Crager, was born on June 10, 1919 in Alco. He passed away on Friday, February 18, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas.
Mr. Crager served in the Air Force during WWII. He worked for Hays Buick in Leesville for 37 years and
Fontenot Chevrolet in Leesville for several years. He loved to work in his garden and raise vegetables for his great grandchildren to harvest, loved to go to church and area gospel singings; he loved to visit and never met a stranger and was a member
of First Baptist Church of Anacoco for many years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Lear Crager of Lufkin, Texas, formally of Anacoco; daughters and sons-in-law Deanna Bentley and Parker
Bentley of Lufkin, Texas and Sylvia Toups and Herman Toups of Lufkin, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Raymond Crager and Lawanda Crager of Anacoco and Roy Crager and Mildred Crager of Savannah Ga.; grandchildren, Mark Bentley, Tonya Bentley,
Paula Irvine and Eric Toups; and great grandchildren Andrew Farley, Tara Bentley, Conner Irvine, Harrison Irvine, Alexis Toups and Austin Toups.
