Joe C. Blansett

Joe C. Blansett, 77, of Anacoco, died peacefully in his home Monday morning after a short battle with cancer.
Joe was born the 4th of July in O’Kean, Ark. in 1933 to John and Birdie Blansett. He joined the Army as a young man
and retired at Fort Polk after serving 20 years. He loved his friends, family and especially peaceful evenings fishing on the surrounding lakes.
Joe is survived by his wife Bonnie Blansett and one son, Bobby Blansett and his two sons,
Andrew and Evan; stepchildren, Michael Wilson, Callie and Eugene Garland and their son Alton Garland.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Blansett; sisters, Pauline Holley, Birdie Morgan, Irene Blansett, Leeoma Moss; and one
son, Junior Holley of Arkansas.
At the request of Joe Blansett there will be no funeral services.
