James VIncent Ourso

Funeral services for James Vincent “J.V.” Ourso, 89, of Leesville will be held at 1 p.m. on Jan. 14 at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Leesville under the
direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., on Jan. 13 at the funeral home with a rosary at 7 p.m.
J. V., the son of James Charles and Vivian Landry Ourso, was born on Jan. 26,
1922, in St. James Parish. He passed away on Jan. 12, 2012, at Rosepine Retirement and Rehabilitation Center in Rosepine.
Mr. Ourso served in the United States Army and was a veteran of War War II. He was a member of the Knights of
Columbia and a lifetime member of the American Legion. He formerly worked for Hernandez Farm Supply. He retired from Fort Polk as a financial advisor. He was a member of the Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church.
He was preceded in
death by his daughter, Tamara Ourso Giffin and wife, Lucille Mosses Ourso.
He is survived by his son, James Vincent Ourso, Jr., of Baton Rouge; daughters, Ginger Ourso of Leesville and Nancy Wambsgans of St. Louis; grandchildren, Jason
Wambsgans, Lauren Wambsgans and Christopher Giffin; and one great-grandchild, Nena.
Members of Knights of Columbia will serve as pallbearers and honor guards.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Michael’s Building
Fund.
