Memorial services for Willie Franklin Jeter, 83, of Simpson will be held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 27 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Willie, the son of
Neil O. and Callie Brewer Jeter was born Oct. 16, 1928, in Alco. He passed away on Feb. 23, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Shreveport. Mr. Jeter was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish. He received a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from LSU.
He is survived by his daughters, JoAnn and Carlos Taylor Sr. of Panama City, Fla., and Sandra and Mark Grindstaff of Naperville, Ill.; brother, John Jeter of Alexandria; sister, Maxine Foushee of Simpson; grandchildren, Justin and Christian
Grindstaff and Steven Taylor; and two great-grandsons.
