Mary Lafayette Faye Hunter Toon

Mary Lafayette (Faye) Hunter Toon, went to be with the Lord on March, 19,
2012.
Faye Hunter Toon was born Nov. 15, 1917, in Anacoco to William LaFayette and Mary Delilah Goins Hunter.
She was predeceased by her parents; one son, Lafayette Toon; a great-granddaughter, Lindsey LeAnn Baker Paxton and her
husband, Thad Toon.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Jo Ann and Glenn Green of Longview, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law, David and Linda Toon of Longview, Texas, Michael and Michelle Toon of Waco, Texas, and Randy and
Gaile Toon of Kilgore, Texas; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was a charter member of Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeport, Texas where she taught Sunday School for over 50 years. She was
active in WMU and Vacation Bible School for many years. Nanny, as she was affectionately known by her family, was a devoted mother, grandmother, friend, and will be greatly missed by those lives she touched.
She lived in Lakeport, Texas
for over 60 years and saw many changes to the community during those years. She also found time to serve her community by volunteering at the Longview Police Department after the death of her husband. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. on March 20 at
Welch Funeral Home, 4619 Judson Rd., Longview, Texas. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. on March 21 at Trinity Baptist Church in Lakeport, Texas. Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Gardens on Harrison Road in Longview.
In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to the Elderville Cemetery, 815 Jerry Lucy Road, Longview, Texas 75603, where her son is buried.
