Alice Elizabeth Kilman

Funeral services for Alice Elizabeth “Beth” Kilman, 84, of DeRidder, will
be held at 11 a.m. on July 25 in the First Baptist Church of DeRidder. Officiating will be Rev. Lindsey Burns, Ed Stanton, Rev. Wayne Evans and Rev. Thomas Harper. Burial will follow in Beauregard Cemetery in DeRidder, under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder.
Visitation will be held from 5:30-8 p.m. on July 24 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home of DeRidder, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service on July 25 at the church.
Beth was born on Dec. 24,
1927, in Monroe, to George Harper and Alice Odom Harper and was reared in LeCompte. She was a graduate of Northwestern State University and taught at DeRidder and Leesville High Schools beginning at the age of 19. She was a member of First Baptist
Church of DeRidder, DeRidder Garden Club, DeRidder Study Club, a board member of the Beauregard Parish Library, a Pink Lady at Beauregard Memorial Hospital, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and the Beauregard Parish Retired Teachers Association. She
passed from this life on July 23, 2012 in DeRidder.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Billy Kilman, Jr. of DeRidder; son, Eddy Kilman and wife Brenda of West Point, Ga.; daughters, Cathy Kilman DeWitt and husband Owen of Coppell,
Texas, Kerry Kilman Stanton and husband Ed of Bayou Vista, Texas, and Kristy Kilman Pavlas and husband Craig of Friendswood, Texas; two brothers, G. Robert Harper of Alexandria and Rev. Thomas Harper of Pineville; eight grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren.
