Funeral services for Katharina Stenner Barber, 83, will be held at 1 p.m. on July 29 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service on July 29 at the funeral home.
Katharina Stenner Barber was born on Dec. 11, 1928, to Valentin and Margaret Stenner. Mrs. Barber passed away on July 26,
2012. She was a native of Germany and a long time resident of Leesville.?She is survived by her son, Eddie Barber and wife Diana of Hazel Green, Ala., and their children, Crystal Mauran and husband Shane of Hazel Green, Ala. and Daniel Barber of
Charleston S.C.; daughter, Belinda Sanders and husband Mike of Denham Springs and their children, Katharina “Katie” Beck, Brooke And Beaux Sanders of Denham Springs, and Michael and Kaitlyn Sanders of Leesville; great-grandchildren, MacKenzie Mauran,
and Madison and Cole Sanders; sisters, Anna Werner and Elisabeth Portscht of Germany and numerous nieces and nephews.?She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter R Barber; parents, Valentin and Margaret Stenner; and brothers, Michael and Barthel
Stenner.?She was greatly loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Harvest Manor Nursing home and Living Source Hospice of Denham Springs for their care.
