Funeral services for Barry Wayne Tilley will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 9
in the Fullerton Pentecostal Church with the Revs. Ronnie Perkins and Tommy Powell officiating. Committal services will follow in the Glass Window Cemetery under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home of Oakdale.
Barry, 58, of Pitkin,
entered eternal rest on Sept. 5, 2012 in his residence. He was born on Jan. 25, 1954 in Fort Polk to the union of Hoy and Gertrude Townley Tilley. He attended Pitkin High School and was a United States Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War era. Barry
never met a stranger and if he was your friend, he was your friend for life. Everyone knew “Ole Bear Wayne.”
He leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory, his wife, Patricia McGee Tilley of Fullerton; one daughter, Selena and
husband Jeff Harper of Kinder; four stepchildren, Rachel and husband Tony Fee of Pitkin, Summer Kimsey of Pace, Fla., Isaac Kimsey of Orlando, Fla., and Noah Kimsey and wife Carla of Cantonment, Fla.; two brothers, Billy R. Tilley and wife Charlene
of Pitkin, and Bryan Tilley and wife Jody of Kinder; one sister, Cheryl Perkins and husband Dalton of Leesville; four brother-in-laws, Jay McGee and wife Kathy of Sugartown, John McGee of Shreveport, David McGee of Sugartown, and Sonny McGee and wife
Cindy of Johnson Bayou; three sister-in-laws, Margaret Arrant and husband Julian of Hayes, Janine McGee of Oklahoma
City, Okla., and Deanna Conner and husband Robert of Many; five grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and
friends.
Pallbearers to serve will be Cody Tilley, Jay McGee, John Cardy, Isaac Kimsey, Noah Kimsey, and Ron Philpott.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Sept. 8 and from 9 a.m. until the time of services on Sept. 9 at
the church.
