Funeral services for Charles W. Smith, 67, of Anacoco, will be held at 10
a.m. on March 7 in the First Baptist Church in Anacoco with Revs. Jack Bell and Wayne Chance officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. on March 7 in the Ebenezer Cemetery near Crowley.
Visitation will be held 5-9
p.m. on March 6, and then from 8 a.m. until the time of services on March 7 at the Anacoco First Baptist Church.
Charles, the son of Wilson and Cora Mae Smith was born Feb. 7, 1946 in Crowley. He passed away on March 4, 2013 at his home
in Anacoco.
Charles graduated from McNeese State University with a Masters in business and accounting. His passion was with sports and he was an avid volleyball fan. During his lifetime, some of his happiest moments were coaching
volleyball. He was a devoted fan and sponsor of the Midland basketball team, even watching tapes of the games when he was unable to attend due to illness.
Charles is survived by his sister, Wanda LeBlanc of Anacoco; nephews and nieves,
Brad and Glenda LeBlanc, Chuck and Debet LeBlanc, Mike and Leah Leblanc, Troy Sargent, Linda and James Harrison, and Rhonda Ford; and great-nephews and nieces, Erik LeBlanc, Brandon LeBlanc, Justin LeBlanc, Matthew LeBlanc, Brandon Sargent, Darren
Sargent, and Natalie LeBlanc.
