Funeral services for Verlie Brister Watson, 87, of Leesville, will be held at 2 p.m. on Aug. 7 at the Oak Forest Baptist in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Brister Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.
Visitation will be held from noon until the time of services on Aug. 7 in the church.
Verlie, the daughter of Joseph Edward and Lillie Ashworth Watson, was born Nov. 24, 1925, in Leesville. She passed away Aug. 4,
2013 in Terrell, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harvey Watson; and her son, James Watson.
She is survived by her son, Herman Watson and wife, Marilyn of Evans; daughters, Verline Thorman and husband,
Jack of Carriere, Miss., Debbie Watson of New Llano, Darlene McClure and husband Loui of Maysville, Ga., Becky San Nicholas and husband Jesse of Leesville, and Kathy Vincent and husband, Keith of Terrell, Texas; 16 grandchildren and several
great-grandchildren.
