Funeral services for U.S. Army Ret. Sgt. 1st Class
George E. Sullivan, Jr., 74 , of New Llano, will be held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 23 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Rev. June Y. Song officiating. Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the
direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Aug. 22, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Aug. 23 in the chapel.
George, the son of George and Lucretia Way Sullivan,
was born Aug. 30, 1938, in Jacksonville, Fla. He passed away Aug. 19, 2013 at his residence in New Llano.
George retired from the United States Army after serving for 21 years as a sergeant first class; he served two tours in Vietnam.
After his retirement George was a handyman. He loved working with wood and just tinkering around his shop.
He is survived by his wife, Hae Su Pak Sullivan of New Llano; sons, Morgan and wife Suzette of Belton, Texas, and Marc Sullivan of
Okinawa, Japan; and grandchildren, Asia Sullivan and Sara Sullivan.
