Funeral services for Llowelyn Brazil, 60, of
Leesville will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 3 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville with Pastor Casandra Coleman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby
Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Oct. 2, and from 8 a.m. until the time of services on Oct. 3, in the chapel.
Llowelyn Brazil passed away on Sept. 25, 2013. He was born on Sept. 18,
1953, and was the son of the late Euria Brazil and Miriam Brazil, of Panama City, Panama.
Llowelyn completed elementary and secondary vocational education in Panama City, Panama.
Llowelyn moved to the United States of America
in 1976, and joined the U.S. Army.
He then returned to the Republic of Panama, and married the love of his life, Herminia Brazil. They married on Nov. 12, 1979. Llowelyn and Herminia completed successfully tours of duty in Panama,
Republic of Panama, and Germany. Returning to the United States they were stationed at Fort Polk, where they decided to establish roots and raise their family in Leesville.
Llowelyn was very civic minded, and believed in supporting his
community and the people in it.
Llowelyn is survived by his loving wife Herminia Brazil; daughters, Monica Johnston, Mitchelle Johnston and Indiana Brazil; sons, Alfredo Brazil and Joshua Brazil; two brothers, Rev. David Brazil and Edison
Brazil and four sister, Joy Hawkins, Sheila Acosta, Indiana Laster and Olivia Brazil; seven grandchildren, Carlos, Shantal, Kevin, Ameenah, Zuleika, Naheema and Alfredo, Jr., and a host of nieces and nephews.
