Funeral services for Gary M. McDaniel, 63, was
held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20 at Grace Assembly of God in Hornbeck with Rev. Brooks Coburn and Rev. Daniel Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Self Cemetery of Hornbeck under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Services.
Visitation was held on Friday, Dec. 19 at Jeane’s Funeral Chapel, 100 E. Union St., Leesville, from 4-9 p.m. and then resumed from 9 a.m. until service time on Saturday at Grace Assembly of God.
Gary M. McDaniel, born on Aug. 22,
1951, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife on Dec. 18, 2014. He was a lifelong resident of Vernon Parish and worked as a crane operator for Boise Cascade of Deridder until his retirement after 27 years. He loved to visit with
friends, hunt, fish and keep a beautiful yard.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Buford and Marry Lee Taylor McDaniel, and a brother, Mackie McDaniel.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn McDaniel; sons, Jared Scott
McDaniel and wife Donna of Rosepine and Scotty O’Hara and wife Renita of Pickering; his granddaughter, Ashland and Mackenzie McDaniel of Lake Charles; sister, Jeanette Carver of Leesville; brothers, Mickey McDaniel of Leesville and Jerry McDaniel of
Oakland, Maine; eight step-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
The pallbearers were Donny Irey, George “Obie” Atchison, Gary Wilson, Skip Hardin, Ricky Stewart and Scotty O’Hara. Honorary pallbearers were Steven Kell, Willie
Stewart, Jacob Rubar, Peyton Rubar, Austin Rubar and Louis Stewart.
