Anacoco was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3 at Labby Memorial Funeral Home chapel in Leesville with Rev. Durhl R. Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchell Cemetery in Anacoco under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of
Leesville.

Louise, the daughter of Royal and Maggie McInnis Martin, was born July 16, 1924 in Vernon Parish. She
passed away Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2014 at Byrd Regional Hospital.
For Louise, her life was her family. She loved to cook and she could make awesome biscuits. Her boys were everything to her. She loved going hunting with them, even if that
meant she would fall into the creek while crossing over on a log. She simply “loved her yung’ans”. Louise did not ask for much to be happy; give her family, remote, can of snuff and a Pepsi and she was good.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her husband, Archie Lee Strickland; and two sons, Jimmie Strickland and Charles Raymond Strickland.
She is survived by three sons, Larry Strickland and wife Sue, Alvin Strickland and wife Gloria and Ronnie Strickland, all of
Anacoco; seven grandchildren, Pam Harris and husband Tom, Tammie Phillips and husband Mark, Samantha Strickland, Charlie Strickland and wife Trista, Michael Strickland and wife Kristy, Nancy Martinez and husband Jeff, Brandon Strickland and Keith
Strickland; and 17 great-grandchildren.
