Funeral services for T. R. Burns, Jr., 56, of
Simpson will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home in Leesville with Rev. Don Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 3 from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Sunday, Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Ralph Jr., the son of Thomas Ralph Burns, Sr., and Marion L. Martin (Madeley), was born Nov.
1, 1958 in Alexandria. He passed away at his residence in Simpson on Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015.
Mr. Burns retired in 2004 from the Fort Polk Fire Department after 15 years of service. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed the
cherished moments spent with them. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his daughters, Tasha Burns of Simpson, Shelli Baldwin and husband Brian of Pineville, Kelli Doyle and husband, Michael of
Leesville and Tabitha Burns of New Llano; half-brother, Jon Burns of Rosepine; mother, Marion L. Madeley and husband Hulon of Conroe, Texas; grandchildren, Triston Doyle, Kaitlynn Lee and Gracelyn Doyle; and numerous extended family.
