Funeral services for
Virgie Mae Sidney Webb, 84, of Leesville will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 17 at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home chapel in Leesville with Rev. Thomas Craig officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery under the direction of
Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Saturday, Jan. 17 from 10 a.m. until service time in the funeral home.
Virgie Mae Sidney Webb was born in Cotton Valley on March 19, 1930 to the late John Wesley and
Monnie B. Sidney. She departed this life on Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015 at The Woodlands Nursing Home in Leesville.
She became a member of Wesley Grove C.M.E. Church of Cotton Valley at an early age. In 1962, she was married to Mr. Earven Lee
Webb of Homer, at which point they moved to Benton. To this union three children were born. One preceded her in death.
In 1965, the family moved to Leesville, where they resided until her death. Virgie extended her church membership to New
Hope C.M.E. Church of DeRidder, where she became an active member until her health began to fail.
Virgie was preceded in death by her parents, John Wesley and Monnie B. Sidney; her husband, Earven Lee Webb; and her sister, Oral Lee
Tucker.
She leaves to cherish her memory her brother, John Wesley Sidney of Cotton Valley; two daughters, Virginia Lee Webb of Leesville and Geraldine Alexander (Charles) of Leesville; two granddaughters: FaLon Alexander of Leesville and
Veronica Alexander of Leesville; a host of relatives and friends.
