Elma Lee Walker Gass, 92, of Hornbeck, La., passed
away on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 in her residence. Mrs. Gass was born in Hornbeck, La., on Dec. 20, 1922 to Thomas Jefferson Walker and Laura Dowden Walker. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of United Methodist Church of Hornbeck.
Mrs. Gass was preceded in death by her loving husband, Elbert Gass, her parents, Thomas Jefferson Walker and Laura Dowden Walker; three brothers; three sisters and their husbands.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Tommy
Gass of Pasadena, Texas; daughter, Jeannette Lucius and husband, Sidney Lucius, Sr., of Florien, LA; brother, T.J. Walker, Jr., of Fort Worth, Texas; sisters, Betty Behan of Hornbeck, LA and Maxine Bridges and husband, Edward, of Leesville; seven
grandchildren, Sidney Lucius, Jr., Jason Lucius, Samuel Lucius, Joan Santana (Robbie), Suzanne Toups, Tommy Gass II (Cacey) and Heather Parton (Wesley); seven great – grandchildren, Kori Gass, Kennedy Gass, Andrew Diaz, MaKenzie Gass, Brendan Corr,
Ethan Perkins, and Trey Lucius.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville, La. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Hixson
Funeral Home. Rev. Steve Lora, Rev. Kenneth Baggs and Rev. Jack Perkins will officiate. Remarks will be made by grandson, Samuel Lucius. Pallbearers will be Sidney Lucius, Jr., Jason Lucius, Samuel Lucius, Tommy Gass II, Wesley Parton, Robbie
Santana, Brendan Corr, and honorary pallbearer, Ethan Perkins. Interment will follow in Florien Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in honor of Elma Lee Gass to Hornbeck United Methodist Church, Disabled Veterans, or the
charity of donor’s choice.
