Carolyn Ann Patton, 75, of Leesville, passed away
Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015 at Riverside Hospital in Alexandria.
She was born May 21, 1940 in San Antonio, Texas, to Oliver and Dorothy (Thompson) Duelm. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gordon William Patton, one brother
Oliver A. Duelm Jr, and one sister Marilyn Posey.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her two children, Gary Patton of Seattle, WA and Debbie L. Bowen and her husband Mark of Jena, La. Also surviving is her brother Richard Duelm and his
wife Lisa of Dallas, Texas, her sister Margaret Lykins and her husband Steve of Irving, Texas, four grandchildren, Gary Bowen, Missie Poole, Belinda Heard and Thomas Bowen, eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Carolyn was
a member of Cooper Baptist Church in Pickering, La. She retired from the Vernon Parish Library after 28 years. She will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, who loved sewing, knitting, and cooking.
Visitation
will be Friday, Sept. 4, 2015 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at Hixson Funeral Home in Leesville and will resume Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at 9 a.m. until time of service. A funeral service will be on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor
Thomas Bowen will officiate. Burial will be Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015 at 12 p.m. at the Alexandria National Cemetery.

David Lewis and Richard Duelm
