Funeral services for Margie James Hardy, 81, of
the Marlow Community, Louisiana will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation
will be Monday, Sept. 14, at 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and then 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday, Sept. 15, at the funeral home.
Margie, the daughter of Walter and Stella Johnson James, was born April 2, 1934 in Leesville, La. She passed away
at Friday, Sept. 11, in Alexandria, La.
Margie worked as a seamstress for many years at Ford Cleaner and for Stewart’s Men Store in Leesville. She had been an active member of the Marlow Baptist Church until her sickness. She was also a
member of the Retired American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in New Llano.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Bill Hardy of Marlow Community, sons, Jimmy Sheriff of Missouri and Rodney Sheriff of Anacoco; step-sons, Mike and wife
Alissha Hardy and John and wife Donna Hardy all of Texas; daughters, Stella Gallaghier of Michigan and Shannon and husband Nick Geissler of Montana; brother, Walter and wife Pam H. James of Leesville; Sisters, Cathleen and husband Joe Bolton of
Slagle, Gaynell Johnson and Sue O’Bannon both of California; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
