Funeral services for Lois Opal Wellman, 81, of
Leesville will be held Monday, May 9, 2016 at
10:00 a.m. at Hicks United Pentecostal Church, Hicks, with Rev. Greg Mortensen, and Rev.
Millard Monk officiating. Interment will follow in Laurel Hill Cemetery, LaCamp.
Visitation will be Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the church. Services are under the direction of Hixson Funeral Home, Leesville.
She passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016 in Leesville.
Lois was born
on October 23, 1934 in LaCamp to Martin Wellman and Caroline Bedgood
Wellman. Lois was a member of Hicks United Pentecostal Church. She will be missed by all who
were blessed to know her.
Lois was preceded in death
by her parents, Martin Wellman and Caroline Bedgood Wellman;
two sisters, Exie LaCaze and Freda Boswell; one brother, Maxwell Glen Wellman.
Those left to cherish her memory are one brother, Martin David Wellman, Jr. and wife,
Laverne;
one sister, Verna Monk; sister- in- law and care giver, Olla Mae Wellman, as well as numerous
nieces and nephews.
