Funeral services for Oscar Charles Neal, 56, of Texas will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016, at 11 am at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Harrison Fields officiating. Burial will follow in the Leesville Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 10 from 9 am until time of service at the funeral home.
Oscar, the son of Loraine Williams Fields, was born on August 27, 1959, in Leesville. He passed away on Friday, April 29, 2016, in Texas.
Oscar loved fishing, hunting, culinary cooking and singing. He truly loved God. He had a passion for God and His word. His communication with others was always uplifting and encouraging with scripture and singing. His family loved him
unconditionally but God loved him best.
Oscar is survived by his children: Julius Nix and Schlonda Nix, both of Leesville; parents, Rev. Harrison and Loraine Fields, Sr. of Leesville; and siblings, Dexter J. and wife Joyce Neal of
Leesville, Stephan A. and wife Linda Neal of Baton Rouge, Rev. Curtis and wife Linda Fields of Leesville, Rev. Sandy R. Fields of Kansas City, Kan., John L. Fields of New Orleans, Cynthia Diane and husband James Rhodes of Baton Rouge, Stephanie R.
Neal of Baton Rouge, Julia A. Howard of Shreveport, Michael Wayne Fields of Atlanta, Ga., Nathaniel R. and wife Virginia Fields of Houston, Texas and Rev. Harrison Fields, Jr. of Shreveport.
