Funeral services for Juan Ortiz, 92 of New Llano,
will be held at 11:00 on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 in the St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville. Burial will follow in the Leesville Cemetery under the direction of Labby.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 16 from 2:00
p.m. to 8:00 p.m in the Labby Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m.
Mr. Ortiz was born on August 23, 1923 in Puerto Rico and passed away on Saturday May 14, 2016 in Leesville. Mr. Ortiz served in the U.S. Army for 25 years and
retired in 1968 as SFC.
He was a member of the Civitan Club of Leesville, Knights of Columbus, The American Legion and the Retired American Legion. He was a salesman for over 20 years at Fontenot Chevrolet in Leesville. He served two
terms as an Alderman with the town of New Llano.
He was preceded in death by his first wife: Esperanza Roque Ortiz
He is survived by his wife of 45 years,Angela Osorio Ortiz; his 10 children: Juan Jr. and Kim Ortiz of San
Antonio, Texas., Tony & Gloria Ortiz of San Antonio, Vic & Belinda Ortiz of Anacoco, Linda Anderson of Las Vegas, N.V., Hector & Karen Ortiz of Summerville, S,C., Ralph & Mary Ortiz of Anaheim, Calif., Lelia Adams of Las Vegas, Carmen
& Bobby Bailey of Columbus, Ga., Yami & Richard Bottini of Leesville, Ray & Leslie Ortiz of Anacoco: 21 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren; two sisters: Sixta Alamo and Maria Alamo, both of Puerto Rico.
