Funeral services for Bobbie Sue Murray Holder were
held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday June 28, 2016 in the Jackson Chapel Church of Christ in Leesville. Burial followed in the Stephens Cemetery under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation was held from 4 p.m. Sunday
June 26, 2016 until service time Tuesday in the church.
Mrs. Holder was a life-time resident of Leesville. She was born July 24, 1946 and passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 25 at her home with her family by her side.
Mrs. Holder worked for 26 ½ years as a school bus driver for the Vernon Parish School System, driving children from Pickering School. She was awarded School Bus Driver of the year in 2014. She was a faithful Christian and member of the Jackson Chapel
Church of Christ. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, A.L. & Ona Murray, Sr., and one sister, Katherine Gail Murray.
She is survived by her husband: Tommy
Holder, Sr.; three children, Tommy Holder, Jr. and his wife Carmen, Susan Burlison, and Beth Holder; two brothers, A.L. Murray, Jr., and Travis Murray; four sisters, Billie Boyd, Chloe Dean Howe, Shirley Graham, Sharon “Doubie” Dye; grandchildren,
Michael Burlison, Timothy Burlison and his wife Elizabeth, Jamie Zahn and her husband Casey and Gregory Olson and his wife Helena; great-grandchildren, Trey, Cayden, Palin, Timothy, Jr., Landen and Michael.
