Funeral services for Lucille Welch Cryer, 82, of
Anacoco will be held Monday, July 25, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Good Hope Baptist Church in Anacoco, with Rev. George Jeane and Rev. Wallace Palmer officiating. Burial will follow in the Good Hope Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral
Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home and on Monday, July 25 from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Lucille, the daughter of William N. Welch and
Pauline Buckley, was born on April 17, 1934 in Vernon Parish. She passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2016, in Houston, Texas.
Mrs. Cryer was a member of The Daughters of the Republic of Texas. She loved gospel bluegrass music and she played
stand-up bass. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and was baptized in Blue Creek in 1950.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill Welch and Pauline Bickerstaff.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Fred
Cryer of Anacoco; children, Connie Richardson and husband, Joe of Gilmer, Texas, Darcy Blackstock and husband Virgil of Crosby, Texas and Tim Cryer of Chubbuck, Ind.; sisters, Linda O’Hart of Longview, Texas, Nari Bosse of Magnolia, Texas and Audette
Severin of Morency, Ariz.; grandchildren, Michelle Lively, Michael Richardson and wife, Leisa, Daryl Richardson and David Blackstock and wife Renée; great-grandchildren, Kelsey Lively and Theodore L. Blackstock, and a host of other loving family and
friends.
