Funeral services for Michael D. Allen, 52, of
Leesville will be held Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at East Leesville Pentecostal Church in Leesville, with Rev. Wesley Manning and Rev. Dale Mortensen officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Island Cemetery in Simpson, under the direction
of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Saturday, July 30 from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Michael was born on October 1, 1963, in
Leesville. He passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, in Leesville.
Michael retired from the Leesville Fire Department after 18 years of service. He loved fishing, motorcycle riding, and attending charity events and benefits, for burned
children and senior citizens and anyone else in need. He was an outgoing person always helping out whoever he could and whenever he could. He simply loved everyone and loved spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his
wife, Nancy Allen of Leesville; step-sons, Brett Loftice of Billings, Mont. and Mark Loftice of Houston, Texas; step-daughter, Cynthia Hernandez of Texas; parents, Donnis Brinkley and Sandra Brinkley of Simpson; brothers, Paul Allen of Hornbeck, Tim
Allen and wife Simona of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Rick Allen of Leesville; sister, Samantha Allen of Simpson and numerous grandkids.
