Vivian Virginia Richards

Mrs. Vivian Virginia Richards, 79, of Leesville,
passed away on Wednesday, August 10, 2016.
She was born on September 17, 1936 in Nacogdoches County, Texas to Odie and Dorothy Wilkerson. She was a resident of Vernon Parish for 47 years. She was of the Methodist Faith and a
member of Oak Grove for five years.
Church was the biggest part of her life; she was a strong Godly Christian lady who called those she went to church with her brothers and sisters. She loved her family, grandchildren and
great-grandchildren, everyone called her Mawmaw or Nana.
Mrs. Vivian loved her cats, 18-20 of them, crossword puzzles, Yahtzee and old country music. She will be missed by all who were blessed to know her.
Mrs. Richards was
preceded in death by her husband, Allen Ross Richards; parents, Odie Wilkerson and Dorothy Goldsberry Wilkerson; three sons, Allen Richards, Terry Richards, and Gary Richards; brothers, James Wilkerson and Benny Wilkerson; granddaughter, Amanda Wall;
son-in- law, Richard Wall.
Those left to cherish her memory are five daughters, Patsy Self and husband Tony, Mary Clark and husband Mack, Brenda Wall, Kathy Gilbert and husband Darrell, Rita Rye; three sisters, Doris Medley, Bernice Lane,
Beatrice Johns; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, August 12, 2016, family visitation 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and public from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Methodist Church.
Funeral
services will be Saturday, August 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Grove Methodist Church, with Brother George Jeane and Brother Walter Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Evans Cemetery.
