Funeral services for US Army Ret. Col. William “Bill” Howerton, 82, of Leesville will be held Friday, September 23 2016, at 2 p.m. at Saint Michael The Archangel Catholic Church in Leesville, with Father Kenneth Michiels officiating.
Burial will follow in the Central Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Friday, September 23, from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church.
Bill,
the son of Russell C. and Jeanette Edins Howerton, was born on July 23, 1934, in Abilene, Texas. He passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, in Leesville.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elize T. Howerton of Leesville;
children, US Army Ret. Major William Baylor Howerton, II of Kennesaw, GA; Trayce L. Snow (Jeff) of Alexandria, Jamalyn H. Graves (Bill) of Memphis, Tenn. and Col. Jonathan E. Howerton (Trish) of Washington, D.C. and eight grandchildren.
