Funeral services for Chun “Jim Beam Kim” Mertens,
71, of Leesville will be held Thursday, November 3 at 10 a.m. at Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Leesville, with Pastor Park, Pastor Cho and Pastor Gaither officiating. Per Chun’s wishes she will be cremated after services Thursday. Services
are under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 3, 2016 from 9 a.m. in the funeral home until service time in the funeral home.
Chun was born in Dowandang, South
Korea, she was the third child of seven. She worked for Cubic for the past 14 years as a Role Player. She was a member of the Korean Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Otis Mertens of Leesville; four sisters;
six nephews and five nieces of Korea, and also sisters-in-law Barbara (husband, Lonnie) Durr of Many, and Ruby (husband, Glen) Barnes of Elm Grove, and nephews Jeff Durr and Wendal Durr.
Chun’s family has requested that memorial donations
be made to the charity of your choice.
