Tom Hale Jr. 91, of Florien, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 17, 2016. He was born
July 23, 1925 to Tom and Brean Alford Hale in Anacoco.
Mr. Hale served in the US Navy, he was one of the oldest World
War II veterans and he served on the USS Texas, the battleship that fired the last shot of the war. He will be missed by all who were blessed to know him.
Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his wives, Nita Koonce Hale, Barbara Frieda
Addison Hale; his
parents, Tom Hale, Sr. and Brean Alford Hale.
Those left to cherish his memory are his three daughters, Georgia Segura of Pasadena, Texas, Vickie
McRight of Woodville, Texas, Dena Sampsell of
Magnolia, Texas; two sons, Ricky Addison and wife Jacqueline of Gonzales, Butch Koonce of Anacoco; two sisters, Geraldine Prewitt of Florein, Lucy
Pevoteaux, of Spring, Texas; two brothers, Haskel Hale, and wife Elladine of Burkeville,
Texas and Douglas Hale, and wife Arlie of Hornbeck.
Visitation will be Saturday, November 19, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Hixson Funeral Home, in Leesville. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 1:00 PM
at Beech
Grove Cemetery in Anacoco, with Pastor C.M. Kelly officiating.
