Funeral services for Karen Lynne Nelms, 55, of Baton Rouge will be held Wednesday, September 13, 2017, at 11 am at the Labby Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, in Leesville, with Rev. Wayne Chance officiating. Burial will follow in the Florien
Cemetery, under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 13th, from 10:00 am until time of service at the funeral home.

Karen, the daughter of
Glyn Osborne Nelms and Mildred Loraine Martin, was born on March 16, 1962, in Zwolle, Louisiana. She passed away on Monday, September 11, 2017, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Mrs. Nelms graduated from Hornbeck High School in 1980
and was a LA Tech College graduate. She worked for thirty years with the Louisiana Office Of Financial Institutions. Karen blessed many children with hair loss, by donating her hair.

She was preceded in death by her father,
Glyn Osborne Nelms.

She is survived by her mother, Loraine Nelms of Hornbeck; sisters, Sherrie Hodge & husband, Hootie of Hornbeck and Elwin Ellis & husband, Lance of Hornbeck; nieces and nephews, Brandon Hodge and
wife Ellen, Kellen Hodge & wife, Haley, Audrey Ellis, Leslie Ellis and Megan Ellis and her great niece and nephew, Sydney Hodge & Kandon Hodge.

Pallbearers will be nephews, Brandon Hodge and Kellen Hodge and cousins,
Stuart Martin, Stephen Martin, Bruce Nelms and Tommy Tilley.
