Funeral services for Eddie Dean “Ed” Duncan Mjr.
Rt., 69, of DeRidder will be held October 26, 2017 at 1 pm at Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder, LA with Rev. Frank Ott officiating. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 25, 2017 from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at the Bond
Cemetery near Oakdale, La under the direction of Labby Memorial Funeral Home in DeRidder.
Ed was born in the Oakdale, LA area and he graduated from Tioga High School. He was a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army retiring with the
rank of Major, serving in Korea and Turkey. He was also retired from the U.S. Civil Service. He was an active member of Temple Baptist Church in DeRidder, where he taught Sunday school, sang in the choir and took care of the weekly prayer list. He
raised and trained horses, taught riding and competed himself.
Survivors include his wife of 6 years Claudia Duncan of DeRidder, LA; son, Jonathan Wesley Duncan of Baton Rouge, LA; daughters, Monique Marie Duncan of Houston,
TX, Megan Davis of DeRidder, LA and Shelby Davis of DeRidder, LA; sisters, Betty Jo Stevenson (Lavelle) of Jena, LA and Pauline McVay (Earl) of Pineville, LA; 2 grandchildren, Nancy Grace Duncan and Annalise Duncan.
He was
preceded in death by his parents and sister, Carolyn Marze.
