Earl Elijah Haymon

A going home service for Earl Elijah Haymon, a
lifetime resident of Vernon Parish, will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church on Belview Road in Leesville with Rev. Duryl Davis, Rev. Richard Partridge, Rev. Terry Ward, and JD Haymon officiating. Burial will
follow in Mt. Bethel Cemetery under the direction of Jeane’s Funeral Service.
The family will greet friends from 5:00 PM, Tuesday, January 9, 2018, until time of service on Wednesday.

Earl passed away on Monday,
January 8, 2018, in Rosepine surrounded by his loving family. Earl was a member of Mt. Bethel Baptist church where he was a deacon and past song leader. He was known for his special ability to help people when they were in need. He exhibited the true
meaning of what a Christian should be. Many families were affected by his witness. He was also very involved in politics. He loved to visit and give his opinion on certain topics. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling to numerous ballgames
throughout the state watching his grandkids. Up until the end, he showed his family what true courage and strength meant. When you would leave him, his words would always be, “be careful”.

He was preceded in death by parents,
Elijah and Etta (Cryer) Haymon, brother. Huel, and two infant grandsons.

Earl is survived by his spouse of 58 years Linda Faye Herrington Haymon

Four children: Rodney Earl Haymon (Alice), Melissa Fulks
(Billy), Lanette Underwood (Charles “Bubba”), and Kenny Ray Haymon (Jessica)

Grandchildren: Dustin Fulks, Cody Haymon, Britney Fulks, Jessica Underwood Cook (Patrick), Jacob Underwood, Casey Haymon, Miranda Fulks, and Jace
Haymon

Great Grandchildren: Kaydence, RyLeigh, Tristan, and soon to be Alara

Brothers: M Gene Haymon and Charles Haymon

Sisters: Nola Goins, Vera Miers, and Nelda Bodine

Sister-in-law: Margie Haymon

His
