at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 11, 2018 at Rush Funeral Home, Pineville with Reverend Garry Goynes officiating. Interment will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery, Flatwoods, LA under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville.

At daybreak on the morn of January 6, 2018, Nofel Edward Basco was at one precious reunion. He was reunited in Heaven with all of his loved ones there waiting for him. His dear sweet wife, Virgie Lee, who was his bride for over sixty five years;
his precious daughter, Peggy Youngblood, who passed away when she was only forty nine years old; his dear sweet sister, Dotris Silva; his loving grandmother, Virginia Bell Kerry whom he always spoke so fondly of, as well as his loving parents, Edna
Kerry Basco and Dave “Sager” Basco.

He was a Baptist minister who preached for over forty six years. When asked when he was going to retire from the ministry, his reply would always be “you never retire from doing the Lord’s
work”. He was a fifty year member with Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 247 of Alexandria, LA. He had a passion for helping people, visiting the sick and reaching lost souls. He loved to garden, hunt, fish and he loved to share his bounty with
everyone.

His circle will be complete when his loved ones left here in this old world will be reunited with him in Heaven; his brothers, Gary Basco and Wanda of Paradise, Glen Basco of Alexandria; his sister, Barbara Vincent
and Charles of Alexandria; his son, Eddie Basco and Gail of Hutton; his daughter, Angie Woofter and Darrell of Anacoco; six beautiful grandchildren whom he was very proud of, Aaron Youngblood, Robbie Suire and Jimmy, Christy Edwards and Brannon,
Lavelle Basco and Casey, Tiffany San Nicholas and Anthony and Whitney Wiggins. The Lord blessed Edward and Virgie with fourteen great grandchildren, Kameron, Teagan and Tarin Suire, Presley, Emily, Ava and Easton Youngblood, Macy and Zackary San
Nicholas, A’Shunti and Darrin Booker, Madalyn and Olivia Edwards, Kaylee Basco Baer and Braxton Basco.
Pallbearers honored to serve will be Braxton Basco, Lavelle Basco, Brannon Edwards, Jimmy Suire, Aaron Youngblood and David Rachal.
Honorary pallbearer will be Gary Basco.
