The election for the City of DeRidder District Three Council seat took place on March 20, 2021. Incumbent John L. Marcello won the election against challenger Dennis Millsap. 

Marcello posted the following statement to his Facebook page after the election:

"Thank you all for your support and for electing me to continue to serve as your city councilman for District 3. I thank my friend, Dennis Millsap for running a hard and clean campaign. Your continued support is appreciated. Again, thank you!"

According to the Louisiana Secretary of State's official website, Marcello received 71 percent of the vote, while Millsap received 29 percent. Out of the 386 total votes cast, Marcello received 274 votes, and Millsap received 112.
