Lady Cats down East Beauregard

LEESVILLE – The Leesville Lady Cats seem to be finding a rhythm at the right time.
Amaya Thomas had four hits and Jina Call held the Lady Trojans to just one run over six innings as the Lady Cats beat East Beauregard on Monday, 9-2.
The Lady Cats and Lady Trojans were deadlocked in a 1-1 stalemate after one inning of play. However, the Lady Cat offense continued to have success, while EBHS was unable to keep things going.
The Lady Trojans managed only one more run, that could ming in the top of the third, while Leesville scored four times in the second, twice in the fourth and once each in the third and sixth en route to the victory.
Thomas drove in one run with her four hits, while Kathryn Keys had two hits and three RBIs. Mackenzie Waldrop had a trio of hits, two runs scored and an RBI, while Layla Gamble had two hits and scored twice.
Camryn Reeves suffered the loss pitching for the Lady Trojans, while going 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI.
